Getting there
RENT A CAR
Our recommended option is to rent a car at the airport in Athens. It is approximately a two hour drive to Nafplio on the major highways. Having a car allows you to discover everything Greece has to offer!
TAKE A TAXI
Take a taxi from Athens airport to Nafplio. This should cost about €190 for four people. It is approximately a 2 hour journey. Please contact our wedding planning team if you would like them to pre-book you a taxi.

TAKE THE BUS
Private Bus:
If you would like to organise a private mini-van from Athens to Nafplio, email weddings@discovernafplio.gr
to arrange. Prices are roughly €290 for an 8 person mini van.
Public Bus:
There are direct public buses running from Athens to Nafplio all year round. The bus trip takes roughly 2 hours and costs €15 per person.
Detailed bus information:
If you’re already planning to be in Athens, skip to the next paragraph. If arriving from Athens airport - you can take a bus from Terminal A to Kifissos Bus Station in Athens and from there another bus to Nafplio. Bus number X93 runs from just outside El. Venizelos airport's arrival hall to Kifissos Bus Station. Don’t forget to buy tickets at the airport before entering. The trip lasts appx one hour, depending on traffic. Price approx. 6 Euros.

When you reach Kifissos Bus Station you will need to find the sign that says Nafplio / Argolida, and buy your tickets there. The buses go hourly on the half hour from morning to evening (some exceptions). The journey takes two to two hours and 10 min., going via Corinth / Isthmos and Argos. Nafplio is the terminus. Price approx. 15 Euros.
